Day 237 – QUEEN ANNE’S LACE

This is a weed. But I know it as Queen Anne’s Lace and that is what I will always call it. This grew along the rural roads where I grew up and I have always loved it. At it’s peak, the blossoms look like a circle of intricate lace made up of dozens of starbursts of tiny white petals. Kind of reminds me of a dill weed blossom. I was on a walk yesterday and spotted some growing out of the sidewalk cracks by an industrial complex and picked it. Amazing something so beautiful can grow seemingly from the concrete. I just might have to go back and pick them all.

Grandma Fran also liked and we had it included in flowers for her funeral
