This is our squeegee from IKEA. It is part of the required shower wipe down procedure to ensure that we don’t have black mold grow in the seams and grout of our stand up shower. I hate this procedure with every ounce of my being.

This is my husband’s nice watch. I will not reveal the brand but it is expensive and doesn’t keep good time. He will often ask, “What time is it?” and I will respond after looking at my phone, or the microwave, or the oven, or the analog clock on the wall, or my inexpensive watch and then I see him turning the dial to adjust the time on this luxury time piece. The sole purpose of a watch is to keep the time, is it not? Hmmmm…

I love the one view of the globe where all you can see is the Pacific Ocean. Gives you an appreciation for just how small we are. Another thing I love about an old globe is going back and looking at all the things that have changed. I’ve had this since my childhood and it has changed A LOT! It still says Gulf of Mexico…. (eye roll)

This hammer has been with me since my first apartment and it was vintage then so I’m not sure how long my dad had it before he gave it to me. It has pounded many nails and picture hangers over the years. It has a wonderful patina that only time and use can create.

For drawing purposes I did a massive D cell battery which I’m not even sure why I have this or what it goes in. Maybe a flashlight? The main use for all other batteries in our home are for the IKEA flameless candles with the 6 hour timer. They are the best but they eat batteries… massive amounts…think teenage boy with a plate of doughnuts kind of appetite. But batteries. Not doughnuts.

What better way to celebrate 50 days of drawings than with an iron. An iron I never use (but my husband sometimes uses for his dress shirts). I only brought it out of the closet because I needed to iron an elephant applique onto a sash for my daughter. And since it was sitting on the counter and my attempt to draw a single Ritz cracker failed…. we have an iron. Happy 50 days!

This here is my wallet. And you know what is so special about it? It fits a CHECKBOOK! You heard me right. I still use checks and proud of it. It also has sufficient space to hold all my coupons and cards.

Today is our dog’s 4th birthday so she needed to be honored today by having her paw pad drawn. She is not a very good model so I did have to take a picture and work off that. She’s had a day of rest and relaxation, moving around the house to find the best spots of sunlight. No walk though as it’s single digits today and these little pads don’t like road salt and cold.

I suppose I should refer to them as golden eggs seeing as how much they cost. We were making cookies the other day and my daughter broke an egg on the counter and immediately felt terrible because she knows how much eggs cost now. Guess I’ve been ranting about that sufficiently.
