  • Day 71 – MRS. MEYERS HAND SOAP

I love Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap, especially the limited edition scents. I was in Target yesterday and audibly gasped when I saw the new seasonal release of Mrs. Meyer’s Hydrangea hand soap. The blue hydrangea was my mom’s favorite flower and it’s become a symbol of her to all who knew and loved her. The label is even a light blue color. I now have it in my powder room and it provides one more opportunity to think of her during the day.

  • Day 70 – RIDING HELMET

My daughter rides horses and this is her helmet. It is always on. Horseback riding makes me nervous but she loves it and the helmet makes me feel a tiny bit better. Tiny bit. My stomach will always be in knots. Gulp.

  • Day 69 – UNO CARD

UNO is such a classic game. We often play it after dinner or right before bed. It’s my go to “quick game” except that one night when it turned into the LONGEST game of UNO of my life where we had to recycle the deck.

  • Day 68 – SUEDE SHOE

I had to redeem myself after the “paper clip cop out” yesterday. This is my husband’s tan suede Solovair shoe. I call them fancy shoes because they come from England, but I must admit they do look very nice…. even if it required three international shipments and returns, curses directed at the ink jet printer to print the required customs documents and multiple trips to a DHL drop off location. Seriously, all worth it 😉

  • Day 67 – PAPER CLIP

It’s been a paper clip kind of weekend. This took me all of 15 seconds but I did it despite the epic weekend of events that had us going from sunrise to sunset (one hour shy too).

  • Day 66 – PEN

Busy days call for simple objects. A pen. Nothing special. Just a blue felt tip pen.

  • Day 65 – YELLOW ONION

I quickly drew this onion before I chop it to put on our homemade pizza with the leftover chuck roast. Beef, jalapenos, onion, mozzarella and salsa verde as a topper. Now back to my cocktail…..

  • Day 64 – GATORADE BOTTLE

If you have a kid at home you probably have several of these squeeze Gatorade bottles hanging around. I don’t like them because they don’t keep the water cold but apparently coaches prefer them as they don’t spill in the gym if they get tipped over. Remember in the 80’s and 90’s when sports teams SHARED squeeze bottles of water? And it was someone’s job to fill them up with the nasty school drinking fountain water. The good old days….
