I have no idea what this is other than it’s a driver golf club. I couldn’t fit the whole thing so I just did the club head obviously. I grabbed a random one from my son’s golf bag. Must be good because it says “MAX FLI”? I’m clueless.

We have a 4 year old French bulldog and her name is Tilly. This is Tilly. I have never spent so much time studying her face and her eyes than when I was drawing this picture. She is brindle with a white stripe so I decided to let the black paper represent the black. She has one very long white wiry chin hair that I did include… totally relatable.

Where I grew up we had cone flowers all over our garden and they were all a very light pinkish lavender color and I always referred to them as “purple cones”. Now there are so many hybrids and special varieties. The one I drew this morning is actually a brilliant orange. This is a day when I wish I was sketching in color.

This is a ball of fuzzy gray yarn. I showed this one to the kids and they said “meh, it’s okay”. I appreciate their honesty. Today, “meh” is good enough for me.

In desperation I drew a Dentek floss pick… this is the kid version which is way more fun than the adult one. They come in neon pink, green and blue. This one is unused.

We go from fishing lures and birch park to nail polish. This is a bottle of “Lucky Lucky Lavender” OPI nail polish that is currently coating my daughter’s fingernails. We shall see how the nails survive 6 hours at horse camp today! Ha!

LAKE POST #7
This is the final lake post. I am almost caught up! Birch trees are beautiful in their natural environment < I do like birch logs in front porch planters > but this is the real deal. This particular section of the birch tree that I drew had some patches of lichen as well. Just imagine this in reverse (white parts are actually black and black is white). A mind twist for the morning.

LAKE POST #6
This is going on the short list as a favorite. My dad actually caught this exact sunfish off the dock. He barely put the worm in the water and they were jumping onto the hook. He held it in his palm, I snapped a picture and one night after dinner I drew it while having a sweet old fashioned. Call that a #10 day.

LAKE POST #5
If a hook and worm is not your speed then you could opt for the Mepps #3 Black Fury fishing lure. When I was a kid, I caught my musky on a #1 Mepps bucktail so my heart belongs to Mepps. Don’t worry, the fishing theme only has one more post.
