Day 266 – HALF A FLUTE

We have a new instrument in the family! My daughter has the privilege of trying band this year at school and she selected the flute! Partly because her aunt played the flute in school and partly because she got to practice blowing across the tops of empty beer bottles over the summer. She has been a champ at practicing, pulling it out many times throughout the day, working on her tone. I was so excited to feature something that is so treasured by her… and then I started to draw. Um… the flute is 26″ long …. my sketchbook is 12″.

I present, HALF a flute! The easy half, I might add….
