Day 216 – STAG BEETLE

I’ll start off by saying ICK. This is a stag beetle and we saw one last night on our walk with the dog. They are HUGE. This one was probably 1.5 inches in length. If you poke it, they go into defensive mode by rising up on their hind legs and swatting with their front legs…. kind of humorous actually. Now if it were 1.5 feet long then it would no longer be funny.
